Now this was a cool project to be involved with! The producers of BBC’s Top Gear got in touch with Tuning Media and asked if we’d be able to supply an original NSX for the show. Being the world’s biggest car show we happily obliged.
It was all quite last minute. Originally they asked for an NA1 for presenter, Chris Harris, to blitz around the track for a feature on BBC Three’s Extra Gear. We lined up Torque GT’s NA1 Type R for the occasion.
Deep into the 11th hour, the producers changed their minds and wanted to promote the NSX to the prime-time slot on BBC One’s Top Gear. The track test wouldn’t be happening but they wanted a striking example for the opening scene in the studio. We contacted our friends at Minutia Detailing who own Jenson Button’s old NA2. Needless to say, the yellow NSX went down a storm.
This project just highlights how important it is to have the right contacts in the right places. Tuning Media works with the best names in the business and can offer automotive brands this kind of mainstream exposure month in month out. Automotive marketing and PR services don’t get much better!
